GRADUATE CONSULTING ENGINEER
Auwen Xia recently completed his Master of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Melbourne and has now joined Dohrmann Consulting as a Graduate Consulting Engineer.
Auwen works closely with senior consulting engineers and ergonomists to assist with the preparation of expert reports, incident investigations for litigated personal injury matters, and delivery of other ergonomics related projects.
Some examples of projects Auwen has helped deliver include:
- Cofounding a MedTech startup to reduce the complexity of IUD insertions for clinicians
- Combining biomechanics modelling software with cloud-based platforms to enhance collaborative research capabilities when using a Computer-Assisted Rehabilitation Environment (CAREN) System
Designing and testing a novel needle probe used for various procedures in anaesthetics

Outside of the office, Auwen enjoys film photography, has picked up a recent interest in golf, and is looking for any opportunity to play volleyball
