New Business Manager, Engineering Technician

Hannah Prouse has an extensive background in the crane, EWP, lifting and Special Purpose Vehicles (SPV) industries, with over 14 years of experience in this field.

Hannah commenced in her profession as an engineering technician while undertaking a cadetship. Through dedication and a passion for her work, she quickly advanced into business management, showcasing her exceptional skills in both technical and leadership roles.

Specialising in all types of crane and EWP, particularly mobile cranes and travel towers, Hannah has an impressive track record. She has previously held CraneSafe endorsement, and has carried out extensive periodic third party inspections throughout Australia and PNG.   She has also provided engineering testing and assessments for a vast number of Major Inspections, as well as for remanufacture and commissioning of new machines.

Beyond her expertise in mobile plant, Hannah has also conducted extensive audits for fixed plant safety and access compliance. She has also successfully applied her practical access experience to provision of Performance Solutions for human movement per the National Construction Code.

Hannah’s hands-on experience and rigorous attention to detail make her an invaluable part of our team.

Some examples of Hannah’s work include:

  • Assessment, repair recommendations and expert opinion on cranes & EWPs involved in overturning, structural failures, rigging failures, fires, and road incidents;
  • Investigation and expert opinion into injuries to riggers and doggers including falls from height, crush/shear injuries and rigging failures;
  • Assisting in complex incident investigations and expert opinions relating to power tools, play equipment and amusement devices;
  • Advice on design work period assessments, Major Inspection, periodic inspection, fleet ageing studies and reclassification of cranes & lifting equipment;
  • Auditing conveyors, machinery guarding and steel/concrete structures at mines and manufacturing sites for structural integrity, and compliance with AS4024 and AS1755;
  • Assessment of mobile cranes & travel towers for ADR and HVNL compliance;
  • Performance Solutions for human movement particularly in plant access applications.

Outside of the office, Hannah enjoys crane spotting, playing the saxophone, and collecting unergonomic shoes.  She is a proud member of the Hawthorn Hawks and the North Queensland Cowboys.
